MY APPROACH
“Compassion is, by definition, relational. Compassion literally means 'to suffer with,' which implies a basic mutuality in the experience of suffering."
― Kristin Neff, PhD

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Anchorage, Alaska - here to offer my expertise, genuineness, guidance, and acceptance through life’s most complex and difficult matters. I care deeply about my clients’ well-being and offer personalized care to each client's particular needs. As a psychotherapist, I am understanding, compassionate, and kind.
My theoretical orientation is 'eclectic', which means that I draw from many theories depending on what best fits. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and I am certified in EMDR treatment. I have extensive clinical training in treating relational trauma, depression, anxiety, and traumatic stress. I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and I utilize a variety of techniques from Mindfulness, Expressive Art Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Solution-Focused Therapy, Psycho-dynamic and Attachment theories, Somatic Experiencing, and Cognitive and/or Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques. The intervention we use depends on what works best for each client, their current situation and goals.
I am bilingual and can provide services in Spanish. I am cognizant of cultural differences and I consider them while providing services. Clients' well-being is my number one priority, so I go above and beyond to help them with the obstacles they face.
Get in touch with me today if you have any questions, I can provide a phone or in-person consultation at no cost.
